Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has done a lot for migrant workers in transporting to their home safely, But it seems he wants to do more for them and to maintain their regular life which was affected because of Covid-19. Sonu Sood on Wednesday launches an app to help the migrant workers in getting a right job for them. He offers support to workers in finding job opportunities in different sectors across the country. Sood, who grabbed the nation spotlight for the work he has done in helping migrants reach their homes amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Now he has come with a free online platform named as ‘Pravasi Rojgar’, by using it the needy get the necessary information and right linkages to find jobs.

The 47-year-old actor told that when he is arranging transportation to the migrants, their conversations would revolve around their work opportunity amid the pandemic & from that he started thinking about it.

he told “Lot of thinking, planning and preparation has gone into designing this initiative over the last few months, in order to ensure that it is holistic and builds on the work already being done in the country.

“Extensive consultations have been held with top organizations they’re involved at the grassroots level in skilling and placing the youth below the poverty line, NGOs, philanthropic organizations, government functionaries, strategy consultants, technology start ups and above all the returned migrants whom I have helped,” Sood said in a statement.

This initiative will be supported by community outreach of villages to look for the right job opportunities for migrant workers in different parts of the country.

As per the release, the online platform Pravasi Rojgar App has 500+ reputed companies which deals in construction, apparel, healthcare, and engineering, BPOs, security, automobile, e-commerce and logistics sectors, offering job opportunities. ‘Pravasi Rojgar’ will also be giving job training programmes such as spoken English. A 24×7 helpline is also set up in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram cities to help the migrants regarding queries.
