Recently, many Chinese apps like TikTok, PUBG Mobile and SheIn have been banned in India. This has encouraged many Indian app developers to come forward and make choices for foreign apps. Moving towards Atmanirbhar Bharat, Aprameya Radhakrishna and his team introduced the Koo app, which is also being seen as an alternative to Twitter. Many ministers and celebrities have started signing up for this Indian social networking app. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal have become part of this app.
Koo App: An Alternate to Twitter
What is Koo?
As we stated above, it is being seen as the Indian alternative to twitter. This Indian micro-blogging website was developed by the Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka in March last year. Like Twitter, Ku is also a micro-blogging platform, where you can give your views and opinion on different issues. It also won the AatmaNirbhar App Innovation Challenge organized by the Government of India in August 2020.
The most important thing is that many Indian languages have also been supported in this app. Currently, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia and Assamese have support in Koo.
What can be done?
In Koo app, users can share posts, videos and photos on the platform. Like Twitter, users can also chat with each other through DMs on Koo. Also, users can also conduct polls on this micro-blogging website.
Here’s how to download?
The Koo app is available for download on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. That is, users can download it on both iPhone and Android phones. It has more than 1 million downloads on Google Play Store.
Download the application and be supportive to the AatmaNirbhar India Campaign as well as try new alternative of the apps and do provide the feedback in comment section.
