In India, the number of patients suffering from Corona virus has crossed 100 and two people have also died from this virus. The virus spread in Wuhan, China and has now affected the whole worldwide. GOI has taken some serious decisions to prevent infection such as cancelling Visa, Aborting flights. Government has announced the Corona Virus Testing Strategy. Under this, it has been told that a person can undergo corona virus test under what conditions.
Government’s Covid-19 Testing Strategy
Indian Council of Medical Research has reported that there is no community transmission of corona virus at the moment. Initially, the person visiting the affected countries is at risk. Or, people coming from abroad in whom the virus has been confirmed, other people have been infected after coming in contact with them. Therefore, there is no need to get corona virus test done by everyone.
- Under government-made rules, if you have returned from a high-risk country affected by a corona virus, then you have to remain isolated at home for 14 days. If you have any symptoms then you surely will undergo a test.
- In the second case, if you have come in contact with someone in whom the virus has been confirmed, and then you have to remain isolated at home for 14 days. If symptoms are seen within duration of 14 days, then you will undergo a test.
- That is, if you have symptoms of cold fever and you are not in any of the above conditions, and then even after going to the hospital, your corona virus test will not be done.
Government of India has set up 52 centers in the country to investigate the corona virus. Corona infection can be investigated at these centers located in different states.
