Across India, Students have protested against Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB). Opposition parties also oppose Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Law and Police action took place in Jamia Nagar of Delhi, against which Many Universities are protesting against violence in the country. There are total 22 Campus on Fire and the hearing can also held today in Supreme Court related to Jamia Violence.

Protest in Seelampur Area

Yesterday, After Jamia, Protest taken place in Seelampur Area of Delhi.  Here, Demonstrators set fire to vehicles. After the violent protest, nearby metro station road had closed. Presently, there is calm atmosphere and demonstrators have gone.

Recently, Delhi’s Seelampur violence case 6 arrested and in North Eastern district, Section 144 applied. Protest against CAA increasing in many part of country. On Tuesday, once again people took streets of delhi to protest against this law. On Tuesday, In Seelampur, There was a clash between police-protesters. On other hand, Police action on Jamia Violence and new appeal regarding it is now filed in Delhi High Court.

Country’s Law Schools In Support Of Jamia

Many organizations allied with National Law School have raised their voice against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Students have condemned police has taken action in Jamia, AMU on the students.

According to Delhi Police, investigation has showed that the violence took place in Jamia Nagar area was arranged in advance. With Wet clothes, on Gas shells tears were put on, petrol bomb were used. Which shows that there was planning in Advance, and against this 10 people arrested.

On the Jamia violence case, Hearing in Supreme Court was started. Before hearing start, Special CP Of Delhi police, Joint CP south Delhi reached the court. In Jamia Violence case, Supreme Court Judgment has pronounced. SC has said that requestors must first go to High Court, when the High court will take decision further action will take on that basis. Supreme Court order said that High Court, as per its decision, will order students in case of medical facility, arrest.  After hearing both the sides, Supreme Court said in the order that “HC appoint Fact Finding Committee”. No restriction to arrest students committing violence, it means that Supreme Court reject the demand not to arrest students.

Request has filed in DHC against CAA which was held in Jamia area. Request appealed for providing medical facilities to the students.

5 People in Custody In Seelampur Violence: As per the sources, We get information that Alok Kumar, Delhi Police’s Joint Police Commissioner said that details has given in Seelampur case. He said that in Seelampur violence, 21 people have injured. These are Includes 12 Delhi Police employees and 3 Rapid Action Force employees. 2 police stations were destroyed and lathicharge was not done by the police.

So In India, Citizenship Amendment Act protests are ongoing protest against CAA.
